Moon Sand Fairy in the Temple
This candle garden was inspired by my collection of purple candles; I wanted to pull them together into a theme. When I stated putting them together the candles seemed very structured so it made me think of a temple, with high pillars and symmetrical layout. My daughter made the moon sand fairy for me; she is 6 years old and loves to help me make candle gardens. I liked this candle garden much better after it started to melt, the melting of the lavender pillar candles created this wonderful fluffy-cloud-like wax around the fairy, it was really cool watching it form. The lavender candles were scented and pretty strong, they smelled just wonderful. Ultimately the fairy is buried in the melting wax and trapped in the temple as it melts around her.
